Emeritus Senior Living, Brookdale Senor Living, Sunrise Senior Living, Atria Senior Living Group and Five Star Quality Care, were named the top 5 largest assisted living communities of 2014 — all of which were also the top communities of the ALFA list in 2013 and 2012.
These senior living communities are said to be focusing on flexibility and more development in assisted living this year, according to Kathryn Burton Gray, head of health care and senior managing director for Red Mortgage Capital LLC. She explains:
“Current assisted living was built for the greatest generation, and now the silent generation is coming in, and the baby boomers in 15 more years. They will be stepping back and looking at how to make the senior living product relevant to today’s seniors.”
