New resident
reviewed on: 04/13/2016 by MaryRoom is great. Lack of communication from sales reps on fees up front. Didn't find out until signed lease. Antiquated billing system and payment services.
Tour #1
reviewed on: 08/17/2016 by AnonymousI really liked this place and I would choose this for myself! It has beautiful architecture that reminds me of Richmond. It is a pretty facility and my mom is able to go out to the veranda too. But my mom thought this was too urban for her and it was on a busy corner street. The marketing girl seemed to be very engaging with residents and it was obvious she knew the residents.
review of imperial plaza
reviewed on: 11/19/2020 by AnonymousThe community is a good place and has good value. I would recommend them to check out. Room sizes are good, and they offer a good variety and they have opened a dining room with reservation only and offer delivery with a surcharge.

Excellent value
reviewed on: 06/16/2015 by dragonladi1958My brother & I did extensive research in finding our Mom a good senior community where she could "age in place" and still have plenty of activities & people her own age around her. When we toured the first time, we were impressed with the friendliness of everyone - staff & residents alike. The grounds are impeccably kept. This is a gated community, which was huge for us. We also discovered it was a huge value - best bang for the buck. This is not a "shiny new" community, but everything was clean & updated. One of the advantages of it being older is that the apartments tend to be bigger than a lot of other places. They offer lots of services (as add-ons of course), but because of the cost effectiveness of the rent, we were able to get Mom cleaning services & a couple of other amenities we hadn't even thought of. There are 3 restaurants, from a nice dining experience, down to a pub. There is also a doctor, convenience store, pharmacy, hair salon & Towne Bank. There are also breezeways connecting everywhere, so in bad weather, you can go from one place to another without going outside. This is a HUGE complex, pretty much self-contained. Mom doesn't actually move in for a couple of weeks, but we've been hugely impressed so far. I'll update my review once she gets moved in & settled.
