Community Reviews
Poor service/high turnover
reviewed on: 02/24/2017 by AnonymousThe Crossings at Blacksburg is a new assisted living facility. I am a friend of a current resident. My friend is constantly saying how poor the healthcare service is. The level of care my friend receives is extremely low. There are never enough CNA's to cover the entire building. My friend can be in need of help, pull the call light to notify a staff member, and wait anywhere from 40-75 minutes waiting for assistance. Also, the percentage of turnover is very high, even in upper management. The food is awful. Most of the time it is too undercooked or overcooked to even eat. This facility is on an extreme downhill fall. Please consider other facilities before this one!
Awful management. The very worst.
reviewed on: 04/05/2018 by Ripped OffmanI have to call the State Attourney on this facility because they have tried to over charge my mother in law since the day she moved in with my ill Father in law. They refuse to correct the billing & put random indescript charges on her bill EVERY MONTH! They threaten to charge late fees if the residents don’t pay and it’s a 2-3 hour ordeal every month to attempt get the bill straight and after 4 months we have had it and moved out. They blame everything on ‘corporate accounting’ in Roanoke and refuse to give us contact info for this ghost of an accounting firm. The staff is nice but care is ok at best and the corporate end is the worst bunch of incompetent jackasses I have ever had to deal with in my entire life & I lived in NYC for 13 years and ran my own business, so that is saying a LOT! I wouldn’t place my dog there for a day if it were an emergency. Don’t get suckered! Also they had 3 new MANAGERS in 5 months! That says it all.
