The staff are helpful at Atria!!!
reviewed on: 08/18/2016 by AnonymousI believe there is a small issue of some of my loved ones clothes missing and I will be looking into this with the director. The community seems to appear clean. I have not tried the food, however he seems to like it. I am not sure if Monique followed through and is getting him involved in the variety of activities offered. I would recommend this community for people that are a little more independent.
Was Not the Right Fit for Us, but Lovely Community Overall

However we were very excited for her to move to this community, but we did find another community that suited our needs better. Overall this is a lovely community, the staff is kind, and friendly. It wasn't the right for us, but it is a really nice facility.

reviewed on: 04/27/2021 by Donna IWe chose Atria Kingwood because of the beautiful welcoming concept when you pull up to the facility. It is beautifully decorated and made us feel comfortable when we walked in. There is a big great room with a piano and a lot of plants and the staff are very friendly even when you are just looking. My moms room is very spacious and comfortable as well. She does complain about the food, they have had a couple of different chefs come in and it is getting better and improving. I would highly recommend.

If they cannot help themselves, I do think you would have to look elsewhere as the staff here are not actual doctors or nurses, they are techs. The staff members here are all very caring and have been great with my parents.

reviewed on: 10/09/2020 by AnonymousI would want others to know that when we went there they said she could stay here until the end of life, she was in memory care. That did not end up being the case. She was not even here 2.5 months and she had a fall. They called me and took her to the ER and took her right back to the facility. They did not even call me to tell me she was back at the facility. I was unable to talk to my mother when she was in the facility. We had issues with medications and she contracted a yeast infection over the bottom half of her body. It always smelled like urine in the room. We took her to a hospital and she had a severe bladder infection. The staff members were so young here and seemed more like babysitters, I think they needed more training. We went to the facility and got her furniture out after she had passed and they told us they would not charge us. They did charge us and it took FOREVER to get it back. I would not recommend this facility at this point in time unless they changed their staff members.
