reviewed on: 10/09/2020 by AnonymousI would want others to know that when we went there they said she could stay here until the end of life, she was in memory care. That did not end up being the case. She was not even here 2.5 months and she had a fall. They called me and took her to the ER and took her right back to the facility. They did not even call me to tell me she was back at the facility. I was unable to talk to my mother when she was in the facility. We had issues with medications and she contracted a yeast infection over the bottom half of her body. It always smelled like urine in the room. We took her to a hospital and she had a severe bladder infection. The staff members were so young here and seemed more like babysitters, I think they needed more training. We went to the facility and got her furniture out after she had passed and they told us they would not charge us. They did charge us and it took FOREVER to get it back. I would not recommend this facility at this point in time unless they changed their staff members.

reviewed on: 08/14/2015 by AnonymousAtria Kingwood is a very personable and caring facility. It looks at taking care of the residents as a primary objective. The staff has really gone above and beyond our needs here. We had some extenuating circumstances and they helped us every step of the way.

All of the residents seem to be happy and enjoying the company of each other as well as participating in the various activities they offer.

reviewed on: 06/03/2021 by anonymousWe chose Atria Kingwood because I liked the size of the facility, it is smaller. Also it had more of a homey type feeling as opposed to a medical facility feel. The room sizes are comparable to everything else that we had seen. My mom has been here about 4 months and she really likes it and her caregivers. The food is good and she enjoys that as well. They are doing a good job handling covid protocols and still keeping the residents safe and involved. I would recommend to others looking.
