Very excellent
reviewed on: 12/27/2017 by AnonymousWhile my mother was here everything was actually excellent. I was very pleased with the staff, the nurses, and the food services. Since we had a specific budget this facility didn’t have a base fee then other up charges for certain services, like laundry, compared to other places that we toured. What we also liked is how attentive and communicative the staff is with my mother. Someone is always checking in on her every two hours, they accompanied her to the dining area, and if something were to happen they would notify me right away. If we were to call to check in on her they would know where she is. It is a great little community, some residents there were actually from the same hometown my mother was from, and it made her feel more comfortable and safe. If she felt this way it obviously made my family and I feel comfortable as well. I absolutely recommend this facility to other families.
Nice community!!
reviewed on: 11/09/2016 by AnonymousI have no complaints about the tour I took of this particular community, I thought they had nice amenities for there residents and offered a great activity program. My mother was just a little overwhelmed at how large the facility was and how many residents they had living there. She wanted something smaller and less populated.
A friendly facility in a beautiful area.
reviewed on: 04/29/2017 by Illinois senior relocatingA 3 week stay at the facility in a 1 bedroom apartment that included a stove and refrigerator has reinforced my decision to relocate here. A major disappoint was lack of activities geared to independent residents but having my own vehicle should allow involvement in offerings by other venues in the area such as senior center, college, drama groups, etc. If someone is interested in this beautiful area of Eastern Tennessee should investigate Regency.
All we can do is say thank you, Regency!!!!
reviewed on: 01/23/2014 by Anne P.Care, compassion and reassurance would be just three to the words could use to describe our father's care at Regency. Moving him here a year and a half ago has been the perfect solution for him as well as my sister, brother and me. He had been living alone, out of sate, for about 2 and half years after our mother's death. He was not particularly unhappy, but never did really like to cook, and a few incidences made us realize it was not safe for him to be alone anymore. I can't tell you the reassurance our family had knowing there is a place you could move your loved one where you have trust and faith in the staff. There is just no peace of mind comparable to that. My father in law had lived here tow years prior, and he had also been well cared for. So there was no hesitation when it came time for dad to relocate. Knowing that he can be accommodated at several levels of care, as needed, is perfect solution because it means he will be able to stay in this familiar home and be transitioned when appropriate. He is right here in town with us, yet very active and independent with his varied activities. Dad has been happy since he moved here, and the activities keep him involved, interested, and busy socializing. The monthly calendar is such a help for our family, in that my brother, sister and I can all connect with him daily and ask about what he's done, and suggest and remind him of upcoming events. From church service to outings to concerts to lunches and field trips out, he is so often on the go and not home to answer his phone! He particularly enjoys the daily exercise classes, and the yoga class. Also, he has pleasing and nice landscaped grounds for walking, which is so very important to him. If he wants to venture farther, there is a staff member who can accompany him if needed. The staff has made the extra effort, and their kind actions and caring way have contributed to his happiness. They joke and laugh with him and keep him so involved. When he is gone somewhere with us, they kindly tell him they missed him and make a point to welcome him back. In addition, they are so willing to work with our family and share with us suggestions and advice for his care. Last but certainly, not least. Dad has really enjoyed the food at Regency. He is also very fond of anything chocolate, and the dining staff always patiently listens to his requests. On some occasions they have even set aside a piece of chocolate dessert for him, so he wouldn't miss out when he came late to a meal!!! All we can do is say thank you, Regency!!!!
