Wonderful facility

Sad excuse for a rehab! Part 2
reviewed on: 12/21/2020 by Jennifer PowellWhen I picked up my grandfather, he was wearing a DIAPER!. He does not suffer urinary incontinence or bowel problems. I learned that he wore them the entire stay. Added to not sleeping in his personal pajamas, and having to sleep in a gown like a lady, my grandfather's conversation became very dark. He began to discuss giving away his personal property, verifying his burial plot, and stating that his time here would not be much longer. My last straw with the facility, the loss of his wallet. I called to Northbrook to inform the staff that I would be picking him up within 72 hours, out of respect of it being the weekend. Yes, I was unprofessional, and lack empathy for the employee; in my defense, I refused to allow my grandfather to be mistreated any further. If I could turn back the hands of time, my grandfather would not have rehab at Northbrook. I boldly advise not to admit your loved ones to this facility. It is not capable of caring for a mangy dog full of fleas and ticks!
