Community Reviews
perfect choice for a Simpsonville resident
reviewed on: 01/21/2021 by JenetIt has a great location and is a smaller community. You don't get lost shuffle here and the staff is great. I would recommend this community to others.
It was very nice but a little further away than I wanted to be.

Guidance & direction in choosing a facility for parents
reviewed on: 06/07/2019 by Christy MimsThe decision to move my parents to assisted living was one of the hardest of my life. I actually called A Place For Mom thinking I was calling a facility. Once our conversation began I felt God had led me to them. We thought our parents would need to be separated after 65 years together because of their different needs. A Place For Mom helped me see that my parents could stay together. They asked a few questions and provided a list of possible places. They gave a list of questions for us to ask and things to look for when deciding on a place. They then advised me to call and speak with each and narrow it down to three. They set up visits at each place all in one day so I could take half a day to check them out. My sister and I went and were pleased with two of them. We presented the plan to our parents and A Place For Mom set up another visit, this time I took my parents. They were pleased with both. The availability and distance helped us decide on The Springs At Simpsonville. The whole process was completed and we moved them in two weeks. The facility is not home but it is the next best thing. If I had tried this on my own, I have no idea how it would have turned out or how long it would have taken. We are pleased with the facility and caregivers and highly recommend anyone to use A Place For Mom. They were compassionate and guided us when we really didn’t know how to begin.

reviewed on: 10/19/2020 by AnonymousOur loved one was first on the independent side, she had a health concern that made her go to the hospital. She was allowed to come back but had to be in a wheel chair and needed more help then originally. We had an issue with one of the staff members that gave attitude towards us and our loved one when she asked for the extra help. Once she was able to walk again with her walker, we thought the extra services we had paid for would be taken off but that was not the case. Even though she no longer needed those services we were still being charged.
