Happy in Retirement
reviewed on: 09/03/2020 by Golden Girl KayI moved from Long Island to Brightwater two years ago and became part of the Golden Girls group. I chose Myrtle Beach because my son is going to retire in the area. My villa includes a patio that gives me an outdoor space of my own that allows me to garden with my potted flowers and sit outside. Walking the property with the beautiful gardens & flowers is part of my daily routine and the outdoor pool gives me another form of enjoyable exercise. I can sleep in and relax after working all my life for the school system. I like BINGO, arts & crafts and the Travel the World Snack Crate, Tracy does an amazing job. I liked being pampered with meal delivery during the COVID restrictions and am glad that I can have dinner with my friends in the dining room again. Transportation will take us wherever we need to go, so I don’t need a car.
Joy at Brightwater
reviewed on: 04/30/2020 by Best Choice We MadeI researched communities for 1 year and chose Brightwater because it was so nicely appointed. My husband & I moved in 9 years ago. We had a wonderful time going to the theater outings and music events. The social aspect was so good for our wellbeing. We were able to keep treasures and our new home felt like home. My husband liked the idea of being able to go to the dining room for dinner. I was still able to make his favorite dishes at times because our villa has a full kitchen.
Less Stress
reviewed on: 07/30/2020 by RosemaryI have lived at Brightwater for 9 years and I was looking for a Continuing Care Retirement Community. I was independent and wanted to stay that way, knowing the additional levels of care are available should I need them later. I have never regretted my move. I didn’t know anyone when I arrived, but everyone was so friendly and welcoming! I don’t have to stress about something not working because Maintenance will come and fix it and we have weekly housekeeping. Dining is such a social event at Brightwater. Before COVID the wonderful staff kept us busy with activities & exercise classes and have been very creative with keeping us engaged with social distancing. I worked for Johnson & Johnson doing research & development in the lab and am very interested in all of the information regarding the COVID19 virus. Brightwater has done a marvelous job respectfully keeping us informed and safe with restrictions, masks and social distancing.
Benefits of Selecting the Brightwater Lifestyle
reviewed on: 04/25/2015 by AnonymousAttended an informational presentation after previously hearing a presentation of the Brightwater facility's various attributes. Toured one of the apartments and the stand-along home, both of which were quite nice. People seem friendly and the other amenities available are quite nice. The process for selling a current residence and moving to Brightwater seems quite comprehensive & client-friendly. It is good to know that such a facility exists for when the time comes that we need additional downsizing & more assistance with daily living. A very nice alternative to owning and managing your own home. In addition to the initial living arrangements, should the time come when a resident requires more assistance, the other facilities are within the same complex for easy access. Rather than have to be sent to an off-site facility for care, an easy change can be made to provide exactly the type of care needed.
5 star quality
reviewed on: 01/20/2020 by BrandonThis is such a beautiful beach retirement home. If you were dropped into the middle of it without realizing what it was you would think that you were in a 5 star hotel. The exterior and interior are very well taken care of. Their maintenance team puts a lot of effort into making it look nice and the upkeep. I would be happy to retire here great spot.
