Enjoying Life
reviewed on: 10/05/2020 by BarneyMy wife & I moved to a large villa at Brightwater five years ago to live closer to our daughter. The location of our villa was great, close to the elevator and a view of the pool & palm trees. The atmosphere is friendly, and we got to know everyone. We were interested in the various levels of care that would be available to us. My wife passed away and I chose to move to a smaller villa and everything is pleasant. Brightwater has a sociable environment with activities & dining. I enjoy my new life with a special lady and the comradery of other veterans and friends.
Never a Dull Moment

You can go on trips to wineries, visit beautiful Brook Green Gardens, go on boat rides on nearby lakes and rivers as well as enjoy a wide variety of in house and outside entertainment. If you like to read and do crafts there are several from which you can choose. The variety of events means that there is something for all tastes. Sometimes it is just pleasant to sit outside, enjoy the beautiful surroundings, soak up the sun, and chat with your neighbors. Recently, I have become a member of the Resident Advisory Council, editor of the Brightwater newsletter, and chairman of the Book Keys book club. This involvement has allowed me to give back to the community that I love so much.

reviewed on: 09/18/2019 by Anne CommertonI've been here almost 8 years. I like my villa, it's comfortable and spacious. I like the light that comes in. I have a cat named Mya and she has plenty of room to roam. For dining, there are plenty of choices and they have daily options. Our dining team makes themselves accessible for feedback. I like that the community is accessible to the college and volunteer opportunities. There are a great variety of activities. I enjoy the lectures, wine tastings, and trips. The special events and nights out. The aqua wellness classes are my favorite. The people who work here could not be better. The maintenance team does everything with a smile. The entire staff is very helpful. I feel that the administrative staff feel and care for me as an individual.
Happiness from Flowers

The most wonderful staff work here, and they are always happy to do their best to take care of us. I have my own garden plot to grow flowers so I can share happiness with others. Dining did a great job delivering our meals during the COVID restrictions.

I knew I didn’t want to go to a nursing home. I lived in a single family house in a retirement community and because of health issues, my family suggested Brightwater a continuum care community and I would be able to live independently. I was very surprised to find resort style life, I don’t have to cook or plan activities or run out to the gym, transportation is available, maintenance is taken care of and all of these are included. The day I came to tour with my daughter, everyone was smiling and welcoming and asking are you going to move here? I felt so warm & welcomed that I didn’t have to think about this. I feel healthier today than the day I moved in because I am able to keep my mind & body busy. I feel every effort is made to secure my safety. I have always enjoyed crafts and now I have classes to encourage me to try new medias. The dining experience feels like I am at the resort, specials every day or a full menu to select from. The presentation is beautiful and a smiling staff to serve us. We have the 101 club to enjoy a cocktail & snacks before dinner with my friends. We are all part of the Brightwater family.
