Moved Site Unseen- Very Happy!
reviewed on: 02/04/2015 by Marie HuntMy husband and I moved to Brightwater in 2013 site unseen. We had been living in Connecticut for many years and decided we would like a warmer climate and available medical options for my husband. Of great help to us, was Alice Yerkes. She helped us every step of the way and made our decision and move to such easier. Brightwater has numerous activities, the staff are great and always so very helpful. It is a wonderful community for retirement living "at its best". Since my husband passed away, I am so very happy that we made the decision to move to Brightwater and I have formed so many friendships.
No Regrets
reviewed on: 05/07/2020 by DD at MBI moved here in October and was dealing with a health issue that kept me in my villa. Once I was feeling better in March and I started to participate with wellness & social activities the COVID19 stopped the regular schedules. Wellness & Activities have gotten very creative during this time to keep us active & engaged. They are helping us order groceries online and the Brightwater drivers are picking them up and deliver them directly to my villa. We are not able to eat in the dining during these restrictions, so the servers are delivering our meals with a smile and a surprise. I am looking forward to returning to “Normal” and getting to spend time with my family & friends again. All of our needs are being met without our health being jeopardized.
Living at Brightwater
reviewed on: 04/23/2020 by AlfonsoI have been a resident of Brightwater for six years. I recall that during two hurricanes Brightwater did an outstanding job providing for the safety and comfort of its residents. However, the efforts our Executive Director and his staff have made to protect the residents during this Covid 19 crisis has been superb.
It's a great place to live
reviewed on: 06/02/2020 by Chris and Cliff VermilyaChris and I moved from Connecticut to Brightwater in October 2016. In our 3 1/2 years here we have really come to appreciate it as an extremely warm and caring place to live. The staff which has an unusually long tenure really does go the "extra mile" to insure that we are safe and comfortable. During the current pandemic they have done everything possible to keep us safe. There have been no cases of the Covid 19 virus here among residents or staff. It is really a great place to live. Happy in Retirement
reviewed on: 09/03/2020 by Golden Girl KayI moved from Long Island to Brightwater two years ago and became part of the Golden Girls group. I chose Myrtle Beach because my son is going to retire in the area. My villa includes a patio that gives me an outdoor space of my own that allows me to garden with my potted flowers and sit outside. Walking the property with the beautiful gardens & flowers is part of my daily routine and the outdoor pool gives me another form of enjoyable exercise. I can sleep in and relax after working all my life for the school system. I like BINGO, arts & crafts and the Travel the World Snack Crate, Tracy does an amazing job. I liked being pampered with meal delivery during the COVID restrictions and am glad that I can have dinner with my friends in the dining room again. Transportation will take us wherever we need to go, so I don’t need a car.
