Community Reviews
Joy at Brightwater
reviewed on: 04/30/2020 by Best Choice We MadeI researched communities for 1 year and chose Brightwater because it was so nicely appointed. My husband & I moved in 9 years ago. We had a wonderful time going to the theater outings and music events. The social aspect was so good for our wellbeing. We were able to keep treasures and our new home felt like home. My husband liked the idea of being able to go to the dining room for dinner. I was still able to make his favorite dishes at times because our villa has a full kitchen.
Southern Hospitality at Brightwater
reviewed on: 12/13/2019 by Darryl BooneBrightwater is one of the most beautiful continuing care retirement communities in the myrtle beach area. My wife and I were looking for crcc's in South Carolina and this one came highly recommended. We wanted a ccrc because they have all levels of care and that was important to us. It was easy to make a reservation with them and their representative was very helpful. It was refreshing to sit down and not be hounded by floor plans and amenities but rather a nice conversation about us and why we were making this move. They cared about us as people and that meant a lot. Ultimately, we decided to stay closer to our son, his wife and our grandchildren but if we hadn't decided to stay. We would be living at brightwater. Kudos to you and your team, very nice facility.
Less Stress
reviewed on: 07/30/2020 by RosemaryI have lived at Brightwater for 9 years and I was looking for a Continuing Care Retirement Community. I was independent and wanted to stay that way, knowing the additional levels of care are available should I need them later. I have never regretted my move. I didn’t know anyone when I arrived, but everyone was so friendly and welcoming! I don’t have to stress about something not working because Maintenance will come and fix it and we have weekly housekeeping. Dining is such a social event at Brightwater. Before COVID the wonderful staff kept us busy with activities & exercise classes and have been very creative with keeping us engaged with social distancing. I worked for Johnson & Johnson doing research & development in the lab and am very interested in all of the information regarding the COVID19 virus. Brightwater has done a marvelous job respectfully keeping us informed and safe with restrictions, masks and social distancing.
Review of Brightwater
reviewed on: 09/18/2019 by Clara CummingsI've lived at Brightwater for 8 years and I don't know about any other community but we have the nicest staff here. Someone is always helping us and its wonderful. I have assistance from Love Long Well Care. I participate in a lot of activities. Why would you not? I'm excited about trips, museums, events throughout the community. I faithfully attend wellness classes 3x per week. Since we moved here we have had wonderful maintenance people who will help you. My husband was in extended care and staff would go above and beyond to care for him.
Brightwater Expereince
reviewed on: 03/31/2020 by Mamasha5 years ago when I was 70 yrs old, I was only concerned about financial planning for the future not where I wanted to live. I knew I didn’t want to go to a nursing home. I lived in a single family house in a retirement community and because of health issues, my family suggested Brightwater a continuum care community and I would be able to live independently. I was very surprised to find resort style life, I don’t have to cook or plan activities or run out to the gym, transportation is available, maintenance is taken care of and all of these are included. The day I came to tour with my daughter, everyone was smiling and welcoming and asking are you going to move here? I felt so warm & welcomed that I didn’t have to think about this. I feel healthier today than the day I moved in because I am able to keep my mind & body busy. I feel every effort is made to secure my safety. I have always enjoyed crafts and now I have classes to encourage me to try new medias. The dining experience feels like I am at the resort, specials every day or a full menu to select from. The presentation is beautiful and a smiling staff to serve us. We have the 101 club to enjoy a cocktail & snacks before dinner with my friends. We are all part of the Brightwater family.
