It's a great place to live

In our 3 1/2 years here we have really come to appreciate it as an extremely warm and caring place to live. The staff which has an unusually long tenure really does go the "extra mile" to insure that we are safe and comfortable. During the current pandemic they have done everything possible to keep us safe. There have been no cases of the Covid 19 virus here among residents or staff. It is really a great place to live. Living at Brightwater

I recall that during two hurricanes Brightwater did an outstanding job providing for the safety and comfort of its residents. However, the efforts our Executive Director and his staff have made to protect the residents during this Covid 19 crisis has been superb.

It is so helpful getting calls from her caregivers keeping us posted on how she is doing and sharing what personal items she needs. Nana says the food is delicious and enjoys interacting with all her caregivers and therapists. Now that the weather is warming up she enjoys sitting in the beautiful screened in porch and taking walks throughout the property with the help of caregivers. Nana is sleeping better, eating healthier and taking her medications as prescribed. She has her hair “done” weekly now that the salon has reopened. The staff has worked tirelessly setting up window and video visits. They decorated the outside of her window, and brought the cake we delivered to her room as we celebrated her 91st birthday through the window! As hurricane season nears, we are happy to know Nana has the choice to stay at Brightwater during category 1, 2,3 and 4 hurricanes.

reviewed on: 09/18/2019 by Janet L OrgoodThis community offers tri-level care and it is located in the heart of Myrtle Beach. It's comfortably close to the beach and has activities nearby. I am grateful of the close proximity to medical facilities. The availability of exercise classes to help prevent falls and maintain mobility - it's available daily. I enjoy the stretch and breathe classes and other strength/mobility exercises. There's always something for us to choose from for activities. That are fun and educational. The comfort of knowing that additional care is readily available at any time should I need that assistance.
