Completely Happy Living at Brightwater & Thankful to be Alive!
reviewed on: 08/13/2020 by Jim KI am completely Happy living at Brightwater & Thankful to be Alive! Brightwater makes it possible for you to have the level of care you need and still stay close to each other. My wife needed nursing care and had been at Brightwater for several months. I moved into an independent villa at Brightwater in February of 2013, so I could be close to her and we could spend as much time together as possible. Our daughter also wanted to make sure that I was eating properly, and the food is excellent. I like getting to know everyone and they know me. I used to drive myself everywhere and now it is nice to have a Driver take me where I need to go. Genesis therapy, Live Long Well Care and the Rejuvenate Salon are on site and that makes it very convenient. Brightwater’s location is great & we do not need to evacuate, and this is very important to me. We have been kept safe during COVID19. I enjoy going to the Brightwater Chapel service on Sunday mornings and then I can watch my Sunday School class online too. I am a World War II veteran and I am Thankful to be Alive!
Brightwater is a Top Notch Senior Living Environment!
reviewed on: 03/13/2021 by Susan BNana transferred from the hospital to Rehab into assisted living just as COVID-19 closed everything down. It is so helpful getting calls from her caregivers keeping us posted on how she is doing and sharing what personal items she needs. Nana says the food is delicious and enjoys interacting with all her caregivers and therapists. Now that the weather is warming up she enjoys sitting in the beautiful screened in porch and taking walks throughout the property with the help of caregivers. Nana is sleeping better, eating healthier and taking her medications as prescribed. She has her hair “done” weekly now that the salon has reopened. The staff has worked tirelessly setting up window and video visits. They decorated the outside of her window, and brought the cake we delivered to her room as we celebrated her 91st birthday through the window! As hurricane season nears, we are happy to know Nana has the choice to stay at Brightwater during category 1, 2,3 and 4 hurricanes.
Living My Way
reviewed on: 04/03/2021 by Joanne IBrightwater provides care and interest in member’s transition into the gorgeous community. Someone is always helpful to our needs and the staff is professional and goes above & beyond. The atmosphere is very Welcoming from other members and the staff. The dining experience is lovely. I like having the option of dining dollars because it offers freedom to dine in the Dining room or make my favorite dish in my villa. The Social options are great, and you are welcomed to join, but I don’t feel forced. I love having the option to do what I feel like doing for the day. I still drive my own car, but it’s really nice to have transportation available if you don’t want to drive yourself, especially to medical appointments. COVID was handled smoothly with communication & the offering of the vaccine. I know when the time comes and I need a higher level of care, it is available here at Brightwater.
Less Stress
reviewed on: 07/30/2020 by RosemaryI have lived at Brightwater for 9 years and I was looking for a Continuing Care Retirement Community. I was independent and wanted to stay that way, knowing the additional levels of care are available should I need them later. I have never regretted my move. I didn’t know anyone when I arrived, but everyone was so friendly and welcoming! I don’t have to stress about something not working because Maintenance will come and fix it and we have weekly housekeeping. Dining is such a social event at Brightwater. Before COVID the wonderful staff kept us busy with activities & exercise classes and have been very creative with keeping us engaged with social distancing. I worked for Johnson & Johnson doing research & development in the lab and am very interested in all of the information regarding the COVID19 virus. Brightwater has done a marvelous job respectfully keeping us informed and safe with restrictions, masks and social distancing.
