Moving to Elmcroft
reviewed on: 11/20/2013 by SchoeppI like Elmcroft's layout, It seemed more like a home to me with large gathering areas that a resident could sit quietly in and still interact with others. The staff was very helpful and was welcoming even though it was a difficult time for me and for my mother.
Excellent staff and facility!:-)
reviewed on: 10/12/2017 by DLLMy aunt has lived here for a little over a year. The staff at Elmcroft of Shippensburg is AMAZING! Everyone at all levels are kind, caring, professional people. My aunt is happy and safe here in a cheery, well maintained environment.
Wish we would have made the move much earlier!!
reviewed on: 09/10/2019 by BattinaWe are so glad we chose Elmcroft. It was literally the best decision we could have made. The former facility where the parents had been had a major change in staffing, all the way from the top down and the care went downhill considerably. After 3 years at the former facility and both parents almost dying due to lack of adequate assisted living care we had no choice but to look for another facility. We toured 2 other facilities and neither worked, for various reasons. Elmcroft is the perfect size, about 48 residents max. Staff ratio is 2 med techs to each wing (2 wings), a supervising LPN. It is all one floor going in a circle so no one can get lost. No stairs or elevators like the other facility which was a major problem. Everyone, and I mean everyone from the executive director on down has been fabulous since day 1. No problem is too big or too small to handle. Staff communication is wonderful, phone calls, emails and no unwelcome surprises like we had elsewhere where there was no communication. There is no dementia unit here at this point and no skilled nursing but if you are simply interested in assisted living with meds given by the staff and wonderful food, activities, residents and staff this is the place for you.
Did a good job with the respite care
reviewed on: 02/17/2015 by AnonymousWe used Elmcroft for a brief respite stay, and overall I thought they did a good job. I thought they could have done a better job providing information about the process and what they provide, but my loved one seemed to enjoy her stay well enough. We would use them again if our regular caregiver were not available for an extended stay.
We have paid the introductory fee for...
reviewed on: 12/15/2012 by A Place For Mom CustomerWe have paid the introductory fee for dad to become Elmcroft's next resident. Director has been great to work with and I believe my father will be happy here.
