Community Reviews
This is the Place
reviewed on: 11/14/2013 by Pennie TThe entire staff here has been very helpful and accommodating. Of course everyone is very nice. I love how this building sits in a residential neighborhood, is very quiet, yet convenient. The tower is such a bright spot. I love the outdoor area that's so accessible to the tenants. I love the ease of entry to the memory care unit. My Mother's apartment is spacious and nice. The common areas are nice as well. I think my Mom will be comfortable here. I know I am. The cost was just about what I expected. If you don't see a 5 star rating on a category, it's because I will need more time to assess those areas.
I would recommend The Woodlands!!
reviewed on: 06/14/2016 by AnonymousMy wife has been at this community for about a month and so far things are going fine. The staff are friendly, nice and helpful. She likes the food and they offer a good variety. The community is clean. She does also enjoy participating in many of the activities.
Very attentive
reviewed on: 08/03/2017 by AnonymousMy wife seems to be settling in here at The Woodlands of Middletown. It is a clean and well-kept community. I chose this community because it looked more spacious and was not so confining as some of the other we visited. The food is good, I have dined with my wife here on occasion and enjoyed the meals provided. They offer activities that they try to engage the residents to participate in. The staff is excellent and they are very attentive to the needs of the residents. They do have a small area in the memory care unit that has an area outside where residents with an aide escorting them can enjoy the greenery. I would also like to acknowledge A Place For Mom's senior advisor Maggie for all of her help, even sending me information late into the night when I had to hurry and complete the paperwork to get my wife moved in.
Overall I am pleased
reviewed on: 08/26/2015 by AnonymousI wish the staff would check on mom a little more often at The Woodlands of Middletown. They aren't quite as consistent as I would like to see them being. Some staff on the first shift will be better and then you get new staff coming in that aren't quite as thorough. They do offer a pretty good amount of activities there however I would like to see more offered on the weekends. Overall I am pleased with this facility.
No warm fuzzies
reviewed on: 11/13/2014 by AnonymousI went in there was no one to show me around, the location is where the old hospital was torn down, in old neighborhood, I didn't get warm fuzzies, a janitor showed me a room. I was very early and had not made an appt, so I don't fault them for that.
