Seemed Nice
reviewed on: 09/20/2013 by RonWe only went there for a tour and didn't know any people that lived there. We didn't get much of a chance to speak with any of the staff other than the girl who showed us around but it was clean and seemed nice enough. It seemed like a place to consider.
Waltonwood - A good place to live.
reviewed on: 08/31/2021 by PAThe staff is very friendly. The residents are too. The therapy services provided by Legacy (physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy) are all top notch. The living spaces are good. My loved ones are in a 2-bedreoom, not quite 1100 square foot apartment. My only criticism is there's really not much room for a dining space / furniture, even a little 2-person table. But they enjoy the food. It tastes good and has a nice variety. Breakfast and supper are provided, although my mother would rather they offer lunch instead of breakfast. My only other criticism is cell phone reception is poor. That's true for everyone on the first and second floors, although I think upper floors are better. If they could have some sort of booster, that would be great.
Looked like it would have been nice
reviewed on: 10/08/2013 by No VacancyIt's a beautiful facility but they didn't have any openings for the apartment my mother wanted and they said she could move into one of their available ones and then when something opens up she could move into that one but we didn't want to move her and then move her again. It's beautiful and she liked the layout of the particular apartment and we met several people as we toured that actually just came up to us and we saw a list of their acitivites. In fact, the day we went they had taken a group down to the beach so there were quite a few residents who weren't even there. Just from what we saw and the folks we talked to it seemed like a great place.
Loved this.

The cleanliness is excellent, I guess...
reviewed on: 10/09/2013 by Family MemberThe cleanliness is excellent, I guess the care is everything that could be expected. The only thing they could improve on is the food. Sometimes it's not as hot as it could be, sometimes certain things aren't prepared well, like my sister says the ham is always tough and the bean soup, you'd be lucky to get a bean. She is just growing into activities now, there's a lot to do she just has to get out and do it, but she's getting used to this lifestyle. I would say they provide the information on activities, I don't think there's a whole lot of encouragement. I guess they have what they call captains, experienced peeople there who try to get them involved. I think she's enjoying it, she's running around and buying new furniture now.
