Bristal East Northport
reviewed on: 11/02/2018 by Scott SeamonJust moved my Mom into the Bristal, East Northport the other day. The facility is beautiful, like an upscale hotel with all the amenities. Although it's really too early to evaluate my mom’s stay I was very impressed by the Staff. Paul and Bonnie, the administers, were very helpful and provided support and were very kind and understanding throughout the enrollment process. Linda and Vera were very nice and helped a lot during my mom's first couple of days. The facility aside, the real reason we selected the Bristal can be summed up in one word "BARBARA" Barbara is the Recreational Director, she is "WONDERFUL" She met my family & I to give us a tour of the facility. Normally, this is not her function at the Bristal, but, because I called only hours before we wanted to see the facility, we were accommodated and Paul and Bonnie had previous commitments. Barbara welcomed us with open arms. She has so much passion and love for the residents. This was immediately apparent as she walked us through the Bristal and was met with hugs and kisses from the residents. As she explained,” this is my family” and she really loves her job. The activities and events that she has implemented are both inventive and well thought out. The day we moved my mom was on Halloween. Barbara was dressed as Tinker Bell and Grand Marshaled a Halloween parade with the most adorable children from one of the local schools. The Residents loved it. This was followed by activities throughout the day including, entertainment, live music, and mommy wrapping in the gathering room. In my opinion, Barbara is the show case for the Bristal. There was a wait list to get my mom into the Bristal, East Northport. This was not the case for surrounding Bristal’s on Long Island or other assisted living facilities. Other assisted livings communities are just as ascetically pleasing and have the same type of accommodations. So why a wait list for the East Northport Bristal. I can only surmise it’s because of “Barbara”, her resident activities and the love she brings to the Bristal, East Northport. Good Job Bristal
The first time we walked in we knew this was the place.
reviewed on: 12/11/2014 by Angelo L.My mother is a resident in the Bristal in East Northport. She has been there for about a year now. We visited a dozen different places before deciding on the Bristal. The first time we walked in we knew this was the place. The overall appearances, amenities, and set up are second to none. The rooms are bigger and the facility is brand new. These things are immediately apparent, but the thing that appealed to us most were the people. She hasn't been happier in years. You must visit this place before making any decisions or your doing you loved ones a terrible disservice.
New life at the Bristal
reviewed on: 04/27/2016 by Gail BrandesMy mother moved into the Bristal in East Northport in August 2015. She was having difficulty getting around her large home and had given up driving the year before. She moved into a lovely one bedroom apartment that she decorated with her furniture and all her treasures from home. She loves her apartment, it is cozy, homey, and a perfect size for her. It is still large enough for friends and family to visit. The amenities that come with living at the Bristal have made her life so much easier. The girls that clean her apartment and do her laundry do a wonderful job and mom has grown very fond of them. Having to give up driving was one of the hardest adjustments mom has had to make. The Bristal bus and wonderful driver has given mom a sense of independence once again. She does her banking, food shopping, trips to Macy's, Chico'a as well as lunch outings. Mom has an outgoing personality who loves to interact with others. She has become friends with many of the other residents and enjoys the company of all the staff members. The staff are all friendly and caring individuals. Her days are filled with activities and social interaction. Although mom had to leave a home she loved and many dear friends ( she still sees them ) she has made a new and wonderful life living at the Bristal. We do not worry about her living alone anymore .
Great Place.
reviewed on: 12/30/2016 by Mike GMy father moved in a few months ago and has loved it. The staff there is top notch, and friendly. He's quickly made friends with the people he sits with for meals, and has been enjoying himself. From my stand point the cost is well worth the piece of mind knowing that my dad is in a safe, friendly environment and that assistance is always available 24/7.

Well, the staff and residents brought my vision to a reality! Today, my mom is happy and fulfilled. She has pleasant company at her meals, and has plenty of activities to fill her days. Both the wonderful staff as well as the friendly residents made her feel welcome from the first day. The facility is beautiful and well maintained. My mom enjoys the meals, activities and trips. She is hardly ever in her room! My family is grateful to the Bristal for turning my mom's life around!
