Pleasant Staff Who Care
reviewed on: 01/27/2017 by AnonymousMy mom was here for rehabilitation and during that time my mom has pleasant staff. They took her out of her room to eat and meet other people. However I did not see a sheet of activities and she did not tell me she participated in any.
our experience during covid
reviewed on: 02/04/2021 by RMWe have not been able to experience all elder wood can offer, but so far they have had lots to do for the residence. The communication with the families has been very good including updates on any covid changes via voicemail. I would definitely recommend this community to others
Going very well so far!
reviewed on: 11/25/2014 by AnonymousThings have worked out very well so far at Elderwood Assisted Living! It's a nice looking, clean facility, and the staff have all been very friendly! They're very caring, and they seem to take great care of the people who live here. They've come through on everything they promised during the sales process, and we don't have any complaints!
Disappointed
reviewed on: 10/26/2018 by Respectfully declineI have noticed when visiting my family at Elderwood that there is a lot of gossip I have not seen management prohibit this,Elderwood advertisement is suppose to be a peaceful living where my loved one can relax not hear gossip all day . Not very good management.
Counseling not offered. Food unhealthy, TV shared by 70.
reviewed on: 09/30/2021 by Relative fear retributionThere is one common area for TV viewing for 70 residents. It is an old TV and the remote is often lost. If a resident pays [number removed] for 1/2 a room perhaps several community TV options would be offered . As well, if a remote is lost nother remote could be available to replace. There is a TV in the room but isolation is not always preferred. Important. Food is terrible, beyond terrible. Fish is served to a fish allergic resident. Food is watered down, vegetables are limp and overcooked, fruit is hard and impossible to cut or chew, boiled hot dogs are the most frequent meal. There are no choices offered. Tea is served without offering of milk or sugar. A person who has lost their wife or husband and their home, everything they know within 6 months of coming to this facility could be offered grief counseling. A family member should not have to call and suggest that. Records indicate such details about residents, questions can be asked. Please provide the care and nourishment needed.
