    Activities Provided

Ashby Living Center owns both a standard van and a handicap-accessible shuttle bus. Each resident is given the opportunity to participate in two outings each week during the summer months. We typically take 1 trip each week to Fergus Falls or Alexandria for shopping, and at least one more for a social outing. Examples of social outings this summer include picnicking at State parks; several pontoon rides on Chain of Lakes in Alexandria (compliments of Let's Go Fishing!); monthly trips to Detroit Lakes, including lunch at Zorbaz; and a monthly trip to one of several area museums. Activities provided at the facility include trivia, bingo, exercise games, gardening, and cooking. Our residents enjoy being outside on nice days and they enjoy campfires several times each summer, complete with s'mores for those who want them. Our residents choose how involved they wish to be in each of these events. The choices are many and varied!

Dont recommend

The nursing care staff for the direct care people are a saving grace. I did not have a good experience here. Ran by someone that took care of hospice patients. If you were asleep you would not get food. I left drinks that my loved one liked and he was not allowed to get them.
