Community Reviews
I would recommend.
reviewed on: 08/18/2020 by AnonymousFor the value, you get more bang for your buck. It is a larger group home, it had a warm, friendly atmosphere. They serve balanced meals throughout the day. They have three wings added out to the main house. The room sizes are adequate. Some rooms have their own bathroom. The residents have varying levels of care. I wish that they had a registered nurse on staff.
Such a Very Clean Community
reviewed on: 03/14/2017 by AnonymousMy uncle is under great care at this community. He tells me he is very happy there. He says the people are friendly, the staff are wonderful and he likes the meals. The cleanliness was the first thing I noticed and liked along with the friendly and knowledge staff.

The community is very clean and comfortable. They offer several activities for my mom to enjoy. My mom loves the girls who care for her!

reviewed on: 03/22/2021 by Glenn RWe were very pleased with our experience at The Young Home. The staff members here really worked with us and helped us our especially under the circumstances, they would set up zooms with our loved one and always kept us informed with things that were happening by email, text messages, phone calls if needed. Mom never complained about the food, we never ate it but it always smelled good. Last summer we were able to meet with her out at the gazebo and we were able to go sit with her and talk which was nice. The facility overall seems to be very clean and they had some good recommendations for hospice. I would recommend them to others looking.
More activities needed
reviewed on: 01/04/2016 by AnonymousMy parent has been here for a few years. I love the fact that it's small and the care is good for the most part. However, it makes me sad that the residents just sit and either sleep on the couches or watch television. I never see any type of stimulation. No games, music, etc. I used to see them toss a beach ball around the room to get residents moving. But, I haven't seen this in a long time. They need more structured activities. Even residents with Dementia could benefit from some mind stimulation. However, I find you need to pick your battles...............
