reviewed on: 02/26/2014 by L. HvizdosThis is from my perspective...however since my 96 year old mother is checking herself out Friday...against my wishes...she would give a different point of view. She wanted to go home and took very little part of any activities, so it's hard to judge that. From what I observed from the calendar, there were plenty of opportunities to take part. I do have a complaint about the communication. The chestnut address is on all of their stationery...but that is not the address of my Mother's building. Getting a phone hooked up, paper delivered caused a delay because no one had the other address. I contacted the director of all the facilities, but he wasn't too sympathetic.
They are really good!
reviewed on: 02/18/2014 by GeraldIt's very clean, it was virtually brand new. They do have activities going on but she doesn't participate much. She loves the food, the food is good. I can't think of anything to be improved. They are really good!
Unhappy is an understatement
reviewed on: 07/20/2019 by AnonymousWhen my mother first started here in independent living it was wonderful. Caring staff, food, etc . Due to dementia which was beginning to worsen she was then moved to the assisted living facility on the same property. Things have gone downhill since. They have been thru numerous administrators, and staff. Most of the time they are understaffed and don't even get me started on staffing on the weekends, unbelievable. The ratio of staff to residents is too high, and although the staff tries to keep up its almost impossible. My mother was given someone else's medications once, OOPS, and they actually missed her medications to be given in the morning and were going to try to cover it up by doubling up her medications in the afternoon!! She needed help with eating as she got worse and worse with dementia. She would be given a bite in the dining room, then they would move on to something else and comeback later and given a few more bites. Unless they fed her she didn't hardly eat, care plan said someone would assist her with eating at mealtimes but this was ridiculous. She was supposed to be fed a soft diet as she encountered choking issues BUT then offered a BLT Sandwich and at another meal Garlic Bread! How is that soft?? The administrator currently seems to have no compassion. She removed all abilities for my mom to keep her strength up, not to mention her dignity in toileting herself, we were given rules beyond belief that made no sense and were never explained. We complained till we were "blue in the face" to no avail. We couldn't take it anymore and moved my mother to another facility nearby that truly loves her, allows her to maintain her dignity and she is finally returning to the mom we knew and loved before this administrator took over. Please do not consider moving your loved one here!!!
Meaningful
reviewed on: 04/26/2019 by AnonymousSad to say the administer doesn’t know what she is doing. The staff is great. Unfortunately my parent experienced a dog in the dining room relieving himself. The administrator is rude speaks about personal problems openly so all can hear. Will never recommend this facility.
Please run!!
