Spring Mill Health Campus
reviewed on: 10/16/2017 by AnonymousSpring Mill Health Campus has, overall, been a positive experience. My first impression of the campus itself was very nice. They have a beautiful garden that I think some of the long-term residents help to tend. I especially like that the staff is generally very helpful and attentive. They would often call us to give updates, and to ask us for our feedback about decisions. My loved one needs his food cut up into small bites to eat, and this fact was known. One thing I didn’t like is that, in the mornings, his breakfast would be brought in not cut up, and it would be left sitting until the afternoon. After we brought the issue up though, they did begin taking him down to the dining room where he could get more assistance. Overall, the experience was positive, and I would recommend Spring Mill to others.
New Life
reviewed on: 10/05/2017 by Joshua ReederThey really help my great grandmother improve her health. She had to have back surgery at 87 years old, and after the surgery, she was ready to die. But after sending her to Spring Mill, she wanted to live and get better. Now she has moved from rehab to assisted living and only needs a cane to walk! If it wasn't for Spring Mill, my grandma would not be here anymore.
Not what it used to be
reviewed on: 10/27/2017 by AnonymousMy Grandparent is a long term resident. I really liked the facility at first. Spring Mill has recently changed ownership. I have noticed a decrease in the quality of the newer employees. I recognized one of the "new hires" and am familiar with her background and criminal record. Can't believe they hired her. I would really like to move my loved one, but this is a big deal for an elderly person. Meal times have recently become sporadic. Not good for older people that are used to a schedule.
Regrets
reviewed on: 11/28/2017 by EddieMy loved one is a "long term" resident at Spring Mill in the assisted living. It was a great place at first, but earlier this year, there was a change in ownership. The quality of the staff has been getting worse and worse with the ownership change. The administration doesn't respond much to phone calls and emails. When my loved one first got here, and for a time later, I had no complaints. Now it's one thing after the other. Do yourself a favor, look elsewhere, because once an elderly person gets used to a place, it's hard to get them to move.
Keep Looking
reviewed on: 11/28/2017 by EddieMy loved one has been at Spring Mill for an extended period of time now. It used to be a really good place. Not now, it's under new ownership. The quality of the staff keeps getting worse. The administration has been non responsive to any issues I have had. No return on phone calls, or emails. The doctor takes forever to respond. During a recent room change, I showed up and found my Grandfather in the hall, confused and afraid. In his new room I found boxes of stored things that weren't his. The boxes were also in the bathroom, blocking him from getting to the toilet. The toilet contained feces that had been left there for quite some time. Grandpa's things were in garbage bags on the floor. Administration was notified, but once again, I hear nothing.
