I have some concerns
reviewed on: 10/05/2015 by AnonymousI have some concerns with Diamond View Assisted Living and Memory Care. They moved my father-in-law into the newer building. It is a beautiful building but he is bored. The bedroom is way down the hall. He seemed happier in the other building. We are going call and voice our concerns. His bed hasn't been changed in a long time. I was a CNA and our job was to do a walk through and make sure everything was getting done. His toilet hasn't been flushed in a while. He hasn't taken a shower in a long time. We have been going to visit a lot and they have very young aids working. They are sitting on couch watching TV. I was taught that there is always busy work. It is a beautiful building and will go downhill quick if it's not taken care of. I brought dad creamer and I asked an aid to make coffee and it took forever for it to get to us. The pizza he had was like cardboard. He just had to eat the topping off. They also need to make water more available. The staff served two small cups of orange juice that he quickly downed. My relatives were visiting and the aid allowed my father-in-law to follow them out the door. I didn't think that was safe. I am hoping these issues can get resolved soon.
Good food, Lots of Activities
reviewed on: 12/01/2017 by AnonymousCopper Springs has been good, overall. When we first moved in, we had some issues with lack of communication on the part of the staff, but we had a meeting with them. Since the meeting, it seems they are making an effort to rectify the issues. The caregivers and the food here are both very good, it's a clean place, and they have a lot of activities going on. almost every time a visit, I see people involved in something. Overall our experience here has been positive.
A Wonderful Group of People
reviewed on: 08/24/2021 by CherylThis community is great. The staff and community explained everything to me during the move in process and helped during this transition. I was thrilled when they helped resolved some things that arose during the first few days of move in. The staff love my loved one.
Cozy and Great
reviewed on: 03/22/2017 by AnonymousMy mom is struggling to adjust but it is nice community. The staff are willing to make her feel comfortable and they accommodate her with what is helpful. The meals are really well prepared from what I seen during lunch. The plan one big activity a week and have celebration for holidays. For St. Patrick's Day they had Irish dancers perform for the residents.
Overall Good
reviewed on: 02/07/2019 by AnonymousMy mother has been doing fairly well in the memory care unit at Copper Springs. She was sharing a room with another lady which was a new experience for her so it did take some getting used to. The staff are friendly, attentive, and appear to be genuinely concerned for the residents. The food appears to be good. My mother is still very active and the memory care unit is a closed unit so I think she gets pretty bored and would like to move around more. My mom says she tries to watch tv but she can't hear it. A sound system might help that They do seem to run out of paper products frequently; paper towels, toilet paper.
