Our Mother and San Marino
reviewed on: 03/25/2018 by Charlene FinneySan Marino was exceptional in taking for our mother and also our family. If you are looking for a residence for your loved one, the care and commitment San Marino makes to its residents is wonderful. Our mother was there a short time and passed away but we would not have wanted her to be anywhere else but there. They did not have to reach out as they did but they were there for her and all of us. The staff does go above and beyond in taking care of its residents. Always making sure they arrived to take them to their meals, shower time, bed time, check in time, washing clothes time, and if eating in the room, delivering meals. We were there daily and the activities they provide, so up beat and the involvement from residents there was obvious. We can't say enough about what this new home was going to be for our mother and at the most devastating time of her and our lives with her illness, how they were their not only for her but for our family as we walked in the door.
Not a good place
reviewed on: 03/10/2016 by Anonymousthe Executive Director is rude and more interested in making promises and then not following through....just to get the room rented. The food is terrible. The servers are hard to understand. Not impressed with the Nurse. Seems to have a lack of understanding of Nursing.....we moved our loved one out and to a much better place
Sad Environment
reviewed on: 04/03/2014 by Loved OneWhile our loved one was living here, we were not pleased. The staff did not seem to really care about the residents. The food was just terrible. In fact, our loved one actually lost weight while she was here because she wouldn't eat it. The housekeepers were rude. The whole facility seemed more institutional and not personal. It was a very sad environment, and we rarely saw visitors. Not to mention that we were paying more here for a smaller apartment.
