Community Reviews
wasn't the right place for her
reviewed on: 11/04/2015 by AnonymousMom is no longer at Palm Gardens. She was in the memory care unit but she was one of the more advanced residents. Most of the other residents would just stare at her or cuss her out. She can carry on a total conversation and they cant. We didn't feel like she could be in one of their regular rooms however, because we were afraid she would just go out the front door. I don't feel like the people working in memory care were very professional. They didn't seem to be trained. They were more of minimum wage workers. They were nice and did an okay job. The one thing that kind of bothered me is mom saw them remove a ladies body down the hall. I know this may not be able to be avoided but for someone that was already wanting to come home it certainly didn't help. All the staff was nice there. It just wasn't the right place for her.
My unlce has made great improvements!!
reviewed on: 03/22/2017 by AnonymousMy uncle has made a lot of improvements since making the move into this place. He has such a positive attitude and seems to be making a lot of new friends. All of the staff have been extremely nice and attentive to his needs as best as possible. He has had no complaints about the food and has enjoyed the activities they offer throughout the week. Overall great place and I would highly recommend it to anyone.
I would recommend
reviewed on: 11/10/2021 by anonymousWe chose Palm Gardens because it seemed to offer more of what we needed than the others that we looked at. Where it was located, the price, and what it looked like during the tour all played a factor. I would recommend to others looking.
Doing As Well As Can Be Expected
reviewed on: 09/21/2017 by AnonymousMy grandmother loves being here she says it feels like she is on vacation all the time but on the same note wants to know when she is going home. She is enjoying meeting new people and she has even made some friends. Physically she is not able to do any of the activities. From what I am told she is loving the food. The staff has been wonderful very friendly and attentive. When my aunt and uncle toured the community they were very impressed by the responses and amount of information they were given by the people doing the tour. They both felt my grandmother would be in good hands here.
